REBELS SWEEP HOME DUAL MEET
The Rebels hosted a triangular meet Wednesday (Sept. 23) with Annawan/Wethersfield and Princeville participating at the meet. In the Girls race, the Alyssa Dyken (19:34) continued her fine season finishing second to Annawan/Wethersfield's stand-out freshman Kennady Anderson (17:54). Lena Becker (5th - 20:12), Paige Rewerts (7th - 21:35), Trinity Shimmin (9th - 22:25) and Emily Orrick (12th - 24:36) were the other scorers for the Girls. McKenzie Stahl (13th - 24:46) just missed being the fifth Rebel girl across the finish line. The Girls won the team race with a score of 25 to 2nd place A/W (32). Princeville had 4 finishers just short of the 5 needed for a team score. In the Boys race, Caden Daum (5th - 17:25) led the Rebel Boys across the finish as he has every race this season. The other Boys competing were Payton Stahl (9th - 18:13), Jack Winans (15th - 19:07), Colby Carroll (20 - 20:22), Alex Welch (21st - 20:22) and Brett Browning (22nd - 20:49) The Boys finished second in team race with a score of 55. Princeville with a very strong team won the race with 19 and A/W finished third with 63. Both Girls winner Kennady Anderson and Boys winner Princeville's Denver Hoerr (16:07) finish times were new course records. The Rebels have one more home meet this season a dual meet with Mercer County on Wednesday October 7.
